Chelsea to make first move for Arsenal and Liverpool target

Chelsea could be set to steal a march on Arsenal and Liverpool for Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Daily Star.

The 26-year old has been in sensational form for the German giants this term, netting a whopping 23 times in just 21 appearances in all competitions this year.

The Gabon forward was released by AC Milan early on his career, but has established himself as one of the most lethal frontmen on the planet in recent times.

Arsenal had been linked with the pacey attacker, as well as former boss Jurgen Klopp who is now in charge at Liverpool.

However, it could be Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea who draw first blood in the race to sign the player tearing up the Bundesliga.

Reports suggest the club could be about to test the waters by making an initial £20m bid.

The likes of Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy have struggled to lead the line for the Blues, who are suffering a nightmare start to their Premier League title defence.

The West London side have lost seven of their opening thirteen games and have already been knocked out of the Capital One Cup.
