Chelsea are unlikely to complete the permanent signing of on-loan Monaco forward Radamel Falcao, according to the Daily Mirror.
The 29-year old Colombian striker has netted just once since joining the Stamford Bridge club, as the Blues struggle to defend their Premier League title.
Jose Mourinho’s side lie in 16th position after losses to the likes of Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton – as well as FC Porto in the Champions League.
Falcao had previously been on loan at Manchester United in a similar deal – though the Old Trafford outfit passed up the chance to sign him permanently.
He was unable to impose himself on the Red Devils’ first team, scoring only four times in 29 appearances.
His form at Atletico Madrid and FC Porto had made him one of the most feared frontmen in European football, but a serious injury while with the French side has stalled his career.
He joined Monaco from the La Liga side in 2013 for around £50m, after 35 goals in 46 league games in Spain.
