Potential Cole return

According to the Mirror, new Chelsea manager Lampard could add Ashley Cole to his backroom staff at Stamford Bridge. The 38-year-old is without a club following a short spell at Derby County.

Palace interest in Batshuayi

The Times is reporting that Crystal Palace are looking to re-sign Michy Batshuayi, who spent part of last season on loan at Selhurst Park. The 25-year-old former Marseille attacker scored six goals in 13 games for the Eagles during his time there.

James also on Eagles’ radar

Palace are also targeting right-back Reece James according to the Sun. The England U20 international, who was carried off on a stretcher at the Toulon Tournament in June, was with Wigan Athletic for the duration of the last campaign.
