A quiet summer is expected at Stamford Bridge, at least in terms of new arrivals to the playing staff. There will more than likely be some movement in the dugout, with Maurizio Sarri's tenure reportedly coming to an end. Today's Chelsea transfer roundup includes an update on the managerial position, a new contract for a young star and one player's comments on a rumoured move.

Lampard contact

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have made contact with Derby County over a potential move for former player Frank Lampard. He spent 13 years at Stamford Bridge and is the club's record goalscorer and, as such, it would be an emotional return to west London for the former West Ham man. It's claimed talks have already taken place between Lampard and his former club.

Hudson-Odoi contract condition

Callum Hudson-Odoi will sign a new contract with the Blues, but only if he can get assurances that he will get enough game time according to the Sun. The 18-year-old was a former transfer target for Bayern Munich, but he will stay as long as he plays regularly. He is currently out injured with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Emerson responds to Juve rumours

Despite rumours of a move to Juventus, left-back Emerson is happy at Stamford Bridge. “I have a contract with Chelsea and I am happy there, especially after the Europa League [victory]”, he said after Italy's 2-1 win over Bosnia on Tuesday night. The 24-year-old also added he is yet to receive any offers from the Italian side.
