Chelsea v Southampton – Confirmed starting XIs

Jose Mourinho will be hoping his Chelsea side can put their recent woes behind them and starting firing themselves up the Premier League table today.

The Blues have struggled for any kind of form so far this season, and already find themselves eight points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Southampton will be looking to capitalise on Chelsea’s poor form at Stamford Bridge this afternoon, and could go as high as seventh in the standings with all three points today.

Mourinho left out Eden Hazard and Oscar in his side’s Champions League group stage defeat to Porto in mid-week, but is expected to recall both players to his starting XI this afternoon. Diego Costa is, of course, suspended.

Ryan Bertrand could line up against his form club, while Jordie Clasie could make his debut for the Saints after returning to training last week.

So here’s a look at today’s confirmed starting line-ups for Chelsea and Southampton at Stamford Bridge…
