According to Don Balon, Chelsea will make a move for Real Madrid attacker Isco in this summer’s transfer window.
Isco’s future at Real Madrid has again been thrown into doubt with the midfielder struggling to secure a regular spot in the team over the last few months.
The 25-year-old was outstanding in the tail end of last season, and had carried that form into the early stages of the 2017-18 campaign.
The Spain international has been left out of the Real Madrid XI on a number of occasions in recent weeks, however, which has led to speculation of interest from Manchester United.
According to Don Balon, Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata, who is close friends with Isco, has told the Blues to bring his fellow Spaniard to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Morata is hopeful that his friendship with Isco will put Chelsea at the head of the queue, although there are bound to be a number of clubs interested if it becomes apparent that Real Madrid would be prepared to sell the playmaker this summer.
Isco has struggled for consistency this season, but the attacker has still scored seven goals and registered seven assists in all competitions.
Eden Hazard’s long-term future at Chelsea has been called into question on a number of occasions, and it might well be that Real Madrid move for the Belgium international this summer.
If that is the case, the reigning Premier League champions should demand that Isco, who is valued at £67.5m by transfermarkt.co.uk, is part of the deal.
The former Malaga youngster has scored 39 times in 229 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, and showed in the latter stages of last season that he is a player capable of dominating matches at the highest level of football.
Chelsea are absolutely crying out for a player that could tie things together in the final third of the field, and the thought of Isco feeding a confident Morata is something that the club’s supporters should be extremely excited about.
