Wolfsburg’s sporting director Klaus Allofs has revealed that a deal for Chelsea’s Andre Schurrle is not yet sealed and could collapse.
The German wide-man helped his nation to World Cup glory last year, but has largely struggled to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans since his return from Brazil.
A fee of over £20m has been agreed between the two sides and the pacey wide-man is thought to be in his homeland to seal the deal, yet Aloffs has revealed that it’s not a guarantee yet:
“Sure. Otherwise we would have announced it here.” He is quoted by the Express when asked if the move could yet fall through.
Schurrle’s name currently features on the German FA’s list of transfers, which hints that a transfer is likely to go through.
Cuadrado’s imminent move will see Mohamed Salah head to Fiorentina on loan for the rest of the season.
