The West Brom starlet is the centre of a tug-of-war between Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 16-year-old became the second-youngest player in Premier League history last May, and Chelsea are keen to sign the midfielder with the Blues reportedly in talks with Brown’s representatives over a switch to Stamford Bridge.
Brown has impressed while playing for West Brom’s Under-21 side, and his performances earned him his first start for the senior side when the Baggies suffered defeat to Wigan in May.
Manager Steve Clarke had hoped to convince him to stay at West Brom and sign a professional contract when he turns 17 in January, but it seems Brown may now join Chelsea, the side Clarke used to work for as the assistant manager.
The Baggies will demand at least £3million for Brown, with further add-ons to raise the value of the transfer.
New chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen to bring talented youngsters to Stamford Bridge, with Brown just one of many starlets linked with the Europa League champions.
The Portuguese manager will be hoping to snap up Brown, as well as complete the rest of his transfer business, preferably before the club’s first match of the new season. Chelsea will open their league campaign at home to newly promoted Hull.
Should Brown pick Chelsea? Or should he choose Arsenal?
