The Chelsea XI to extend their run vs Stoke City
Chelsea host Stoke on New Year’s Eve and Antonio Conte’s side will look to finish the year on a high with their 13th straight win in the Premier League.
The Blues recently set a club record of twelve consecutive victories when they beat Bournemouth comfortably at Stamford Bridge in a 3-0 triumph on Boxing Day.
In-form Pedro opened the scoring with a spectacular curling effort just outside the 18-yard box, before Eden Hazard made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the second half.
A fortunate deflection gave Pedro his second and sent Chelsea nine points clear at the top of the table – until Liverpool reduced their lead to six the following day.
Mark Hughes’ Stoke are next up to try and stop the rampant leaders. But the Potters will have a huge task on their hands in attempting to become the first side to beat the Blues since late October – when they lost to West Ham in the EFL Cup.
If Chelsea play this XI however, we at FFC think a resounding victory will be on the cards.
