Chelsea host Stoke on New Year's Eve and Antonio Conte's side will look to finish the year on a high with their 13th straight win in the Premier League.

The Blues recently set a club record of twelve consecutive victories when they beat Bournemouth comfortably at Stamford Bridge in a 3-0 triumph on Boxing Day.

In-form Pedro opened the scoring with a spectacular curling effort just outside the 18-yard box, before Eden Hazard made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the second half.

A fortunate deflection gave Pedro his second and sent Chelsea nine points clear at the top of the table - until Liverpool reduced their lead to six the following day.

Mark Hughes' Stoke are next up to try and stop the rampant leaders. But the Potters will have a huge task on their hands in attempting to become the first side to beat the Blues since late October - when they lost to West Ham in the EFL Cup.

If Chelsea play this XI however, we at FFC think a resounding victory will be on the cards.

GK - Thibout Courtois

No brainer here. The Belgian has been back to his absolute best this year and a huge factor in Chelsea's defensive success so far this season. In fact, the former Atletico Madrid star has conceded just three goals in the last three months - a mighty impressive record.

After several years away from Stamford Bridge, this season has been Victor Moses' time to shine. Eternal loanee under Mourinho and Co., Antonio Conte has reinvented the powerful winger as a wing-back and the freedom to run up and down the flanks has given the Nigerian international a new lease of life.

Azpilicueta was described by Monday Night Football's Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville as 'near perfect' and the 'best defender in the league'. Rhey aren't wrong. The Spaniard has it all; pace, power, technique, vision but perhaps more impressively than anything else, versatility. Capable of playing anywhere across the back four, 'Dave' - as they call him at the Bridge' - is the heartbeat of Chelsea's defence.

The re-signing of David Luiz was questioned by Chelsea fans and neutrals alike given his first hit-and-miss tenure at the club a few years back. The Brazilian has been nothing short of a revelation since his return however, looking a far more mature and reliable player.

CB - Kurt Zouma

Gary Cahill may feel hard done by given Chelsea's excellent defensive record this season, however the returning Kurt Zouma - who was on the bench against Bournemouth - will be welcomed back with open arms. Arguably the Blues' best player (besides Willian) last year before his injury, the young Frenchman has a huge future ahead of him.

Alonso has had an interesting career. Let go by Real Madrid, signed by Bolton, then by Serie A side Fiorentina and most recently the Blues this summer, the Spaniard has gone from high to low to high again and it appears quality is finally being recognised. Alonso has been nothing short of brilliant at left wing-back under Antonio Conte this season.

Earlier this month, the little Frenchman was issued the impressive title of having the 'highest win percentage when starting' of all active players in the league. That win percentage is an astonishing 67.3%, but has been much higher than that since his move to Stamford Bridge. The signing of the summer will be one of the main reasons Chelsea go on to win the title.

CM - Nathaniel Chalobah

One thing that is clear about new boss Antonio Conte is that he doesn't mind giving the youth a chance. Likewise, he appears to be a fan of Nathaniel Chabolah. The former Napoli loanee has made numerous substitute appearances in the Premier League this season but not yet earned himself a start. With the Blues on a roll like this and their strength in depth being shown so evidently on Boxing Day, now seems like a good time to bring Chalobah in.

When Chelsea first bought Pedro in summer 2015, not everybody was convinced by the former Barcelona man. The Spaniard did little last season to prove otherwise, but has thrived under Antonio Conte. Five goals and five assists - including yet another spectacular effort on Boxing Day - is a fine return.

Maybe he thought he'd be missed against Bournemouth given his heavy contribution this season, but Diego Costa's absence through suspension was hardly felt in a 3-0 win. That doesn't mean the Spaniard won't walk back into the starting line-up, and he will certainly be eager to make his mark yet again.

The Eden Hazard this season and the Eden Hazard from last term are almost two separate entities. Perhaps it was his evil twin brother on a mission to sabotage his career, but whichever way, that shady character has disappeared and the Hazard of old has returned. The Belgian is a world-beater, simple as that.
