Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has told talkSPORT that Callum Hudson-Odoi has to be part of Gareth Southgate's squad for Euro 2020.

What did he say?

Hudson-Odoi is already an England international, having made his first two appearances against the Czech Republic and Montenegro earlier this year.

He suffered a damaging Achilles injury earlier in April whilst playing for Chelsea, and as such, he was not included in the latest Three Lions squad, instead being selected for Aidy Boothroyd's U21s. He scored twice against Austria in a 5-1 victory.

Bent has clearly been impressed by his ability, telling talkSPORT: "He wasn’t getting enough game time in the Premier League, even though he was outstanding in the Europa [League] last season.

"If he’s fully fit, he’s got to be on that plane to the [European] Championships next summer because he’s got a large amount of time now to get back to full fitness.

"He’s one of these rare players in this country we’ve got who can go past people at speed.

"For me, once he's back fully fit, that is going to be a big, big boost to Chelsea Football Club and England as well.

Best attack in the world?

The 18-year-old has already impressed this season, grabbing one goal and three assists in his first games of the campaign for the Blues. Having been given a new five-year contract recently, it is clear how much the Stamford Bridge outfit think of him, and he has a big future ahead of him in the game.

In terms of England, the winger is just one of an embarrassment of riches that Southgate has at his disposal. First and foremost is Harry Kane, the captain of the team. The Tottenham striker has 28 goals in 43 caps already and has 171 goals in 263 games for Spurs. He truly is one of the best strikers on the planet, and is said to be worth £135m by transfermarkt.

Alongside him in the starting XI on most occasions is Raheem Sterling, again one of the best in the world in his position. In his last 10 caps, he has as many goals, whilst he has 35 goals and 27 assists across the last two campaigns in the Premier League. He is currently valued at £126m.

Newer onto the scene, but by no means any less promising is 19-year-old Jadon Sancho. Since moving to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City, he has become one of the stars of the Bundesliga, and has 18 goals and 30 assists in 66 matches for Die Schwarzgelben. He is currently the most valuable player in Germany at £90m.

With Hudson-Odoi currently valued at £31.5m, that means that the quartet have a combined worth of £382.5m, and between them, they racked up 68 goals and 48 assists last term. Right now, it is hard to think of a better attack in international football, and there is no reason why they can't all feature in the same side with Sancho, Hudson-Odoi and Sterling rotating as a three behind Kane. By building the team around those four, there is no reason why the Three Lions can't go all the way next summer.
