Chelsea's youngsters continue to grab headlines as they play a huge role in Frank Lampard's blue revolution.

Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, in particular, have stood out, and all three were recently selected in Gareth Southgate's England squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. The former was handed his first full Three Lions cap as he started against the Locomotive last Friday.

Who has been the most improved player in the EPL this season? Find out in the video below...

Having already netted four goals in the first eight Premier League games of the campaign, he has received more recognition from Italian outlet Tuttosport, who have included him on the final shortlist for the prestigious Golden Boy award. Given the way he has performed this term, he is deserving of a spot in the final 20.

How fellow Blues teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi has been overlooked, though, is a mystery. It has been quite some year for the 18-year-old, even despite the Achilles injury he suffered in April.

After impressing for the academy - he scored 31 in 61 games for the club's various youth sides - he finally broke into the senior team on a regular basis at the start of this year. In 24 senior matches, he scored five goals and provided five assists, which is even more impressive when you consider that just 12 of those were starts. Such was his form, he even received his first England caps, and he became the youngest player to receive his debut in a competitive game against the Czech Republic in March.

Already this term, he has one goal and three assists in four matches. There is a reason why Bayern Munich were so desperate to take him to Germany both in January and during the summer. Fortunately for the Blues, they were able to keep the youngster and convince him to commit his long-term future to the club with a five-year contract.

Manchester City's Phil Foden and Barcelona's Ansu Fati, for example, may be promising players, but they are not deserving of a place on this list ahead of Hudson-Odoi.

Across this season and the last, the former has started just 11 matches in all competitions and is still playing at U21 level internationally. Yes, he may have a Premier League winners medal, but can he claim to have had a strong influence on that triumph, having started just three times? Hudson-Odoi, having scored four goals in the Europa League as Chelsea lifted the trophy, was more important to his side's success. Fati, meanwhile, has two senior starts. That's in his whole career to date.

Mount deserves his recognition, but so does Chelsea's wing sensation.

As such, the latter can feel aggrieved by this snub from the Italian outlet.
