Christian Pulisic is delighted with the way things have gone at Chelsea since joining up with the squad in the summer.
As such, his arrival in south-west London coincided with Frank Lampard’s appointment as the club’s new boss. According to the 20-year-old, it has been a great start to life at Stamford Bridge. He told Associated Press:
“It’s amazing. I mean, it’s everything I hoped it would be and more. It’s incredible.
“It worked out really well, for sure. Frank’s a great guy and he’s helped me so much and he understands where I’m coming from and he’s done a really good job and helped me, teaching us, especially a lot of the younger guys on the team.”

As with any new face, Pulisic should be given time to adapt to the Premier League. After all, he comes with much promise from the Bundesliga and, in his native country at least, there is plenty of expectation that he can become one of the stars of the game.
Whilst he has not had a poor start in English football, there will be a hope that he can begin to add to his goal contribution stats. In the the first four matches in the Premier League, he has registered a single assist and zero goals. Proportionally, he would end up with nine for the season. In a side that appears to be intent on attacking – they have averaged 17 shots per game so far this term, the third-most in the division – he will be expected to add more after the international break.
It is not as if he is unable to do so. At Borussia Dortmund last season, he had five goals or assists in the seven Bundesliga matches he started, which is not to be sniffed at. Under the scrutiny of the the English media, and with the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi to return soon, the youngster will need to get supplying and firing once again.
