It was far closer than it should of been but Chelsea eventually picked up all three points against Watford on Saturday.

The Blues will have been disappointed not to score more than the two goals they did, especially considering they had 10 shots on target during the match, but with 15 minutes left on the clock it looked as though it would be more than enough to win the match. However, a late VAR penalty call for Jorginho's foul on Gerard Deulofeu, who then put the resulting spot-kick away, made the last 10 or so minutes far from comfortable.

In the end, though, Frank Lampard and co prevailed 2-1. Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic's goals did the job in the end but, of the two, the USA international was particularly impressive in this seventh consecutive away win for the club in all competitions.

That wasn't just down to his strike, either. The former Borussia Dortmund man looked good in a number of different aspects. He landed 85% of the passes he attempted, which is solid for someone playing in a wide position, whilst he also managed three shots on target. On another day, he would have had more than the solitary goal he was able to net.

When attempting to beat his man, he got it right every time - only teammate Mateo Kovacic matched his four successful dribbles. In the duels he participated in, too, he triumphed more times than not. He won six of the nine he contested on the floor and also won both of the aerial battles he was involved in.

All in all, it was another defiant display from the 21-year-old, and he finally looks to be adapting to the Premier League after his difficult start to life in England, when some questioned whether he was ready to make an impression.

Now, though, he has four goals in his last two Premier League games, and has started both of those matches.

This vein of form could be bad news for 18-year-0ld Callum Hudson-Odoi. After returning from injury, the £31.5m-valued winger - as per Transfermarkt - may have expected to be a guaranteed starter for Lampard, but he has been on the bench in both of the past two matches and has made little impact when finally being introduced.

All in all this campaign, he has just one goal and, although he does have five assists, that is only as many as Pulisic.

If the American youngster continues to perform like this, then it is hard to see a way back into the team for the England international. It is now imperative he takes his chance when he next gets a start, which could be against Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday.
