Following the Merseyside Derby last night, football fans now have the Christmas festivities sandwiching (that's enough about food already!) their next fix of Premier League action.

Of course, this is the time that you are forced (well, in some cases anyway) to spend time with your immediate and extended family, when you’d much rather be at a footy match or watching one on TV - especially Chelsea fans following their eleven-match winning run.

While you have presents (hopefully some football-related gifts) and more food than you know what to do with to try and keep you distracted on Christmas Day, if you can’t handle the wait until Boxing Day for the return to action of football then we have a festive tradition to keep you occupied – a good old Christmas Cracker.

Indeed, this Xmas-in-one-gallery includes a classic football-based teaser, a randomly picked, but nonetheless scintillating, wonder-strike and an intriguing statistic to impress the family with around the Christmas table.

So, without further ado, have a pull on Chelsea’s Christmas Cracker!

The Teaser

Can you name the FIVE Chelsea players who have scored just the one Premier League goal this season?

A very tricky teaser - so we'll give you a clue. The list includes one forward, two midfielders and two defenders.

The wonder-strike - Deadly Drogba

Goodison Park was never an easy place to go and get a result when David Moyes was in charge of Everton, but Chelsea managed to do just that the week before Christmas in 2006 - running out 3-2 winners.

The Blues were already missing John Terry through injury when Mikel Arteta put the Toffees ahead from the penalty spot, but despite Michael Ballack's equaliser, Joseph Yobo put Moyes' men into the lead again.

Frank Lampard levelled the scores once again before a moment of pure brilliance from the deadly Didier Drogba gave the Londoners - who certainly weren't at their best and were enduring a torrid run of form at the time - a crucial three points.

The striker chested down a flick-on 25 yards out, swivelled and then, after the ball had bounced once, hit an unstoppable dipping volley that flew over Tim Howard and into the net.

The Stat

Chelsea have had the most attempts from counter attacks (6) - and scored the joint-most goals as a result (3 - the same as Manchester City) -  in the Premier League this season (from whoscored.com).

While Chelsea have been brilliant in winning their last eleven matches in the Premier League, the stat above does suggest something about Antonio Conte's side's style of play this season.

On many occasions the Blues have played on the counter, and why not? You should play to your strengths after all.

With the likes of the pacey quartet of Eden Hazard, Victor Moses, Pedro and Willian at his disposal, as well as brilliant passers such as Cesc Fabregas, it is no surprise that Conte's men top this particular stat and it is likely to be a tactic that they will continue to effectively use in the coming weeks and months.
