Chelsea are interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi, according to respected L’Equipe reporter, Gilles Favard.
The Blues have played host to much change this summer, with Antonio Conte having arrived as manager following his EURO 2016 duties with Italy, while Michy Batshuayi and N’Golo Kante have been snapped up for a combined sum of just over £60m.
However, with the Londoners having performed so woefully below par last term more business is likely to take place between now and the end of the current transfer window, and Favard has revealed that Matuidi is a target.

His tweet simply outlines that the France international, who starred alongside Kante for Les Bleus earlier this summer, is being “tracked” by the club, who are well stocked in terms of midfield numbers.
Matuidi has been a key player for PSG since his 2011 move to the club, picking up four Ligue 1 titles and two Coupe de France wins while being named in the French top tier’s Team of the Year last season.
Amid this speculation, Nemanja Matic has been aligned with Juventus, which could free up space for the ex-Saint Etienne man.
