Chelsea have been on a significant run of form in recent weeks, and seven straight wins see them sitting atop the Premier League for the first time since their title victory of 2015.

However, Conte should not rest on his laurels as he still faces an uphill battle to overturn the club's shambolic performances over the past 18 months and restore supremacy as Stamford Bridge once more.

While they appear to have tightened their frailties in the defence, some issues surrounding the squad remain enormous problems.

The over-reliance on Diego Costa's goals has become something of a concern for the Chelsea faithful, and many believe Conte must invest in another striker to ensure the Blues pick up a fourth Premier League title.

The London club are known to be powerful in the transfer market, so there's every chance most of the issues can be addressed.

With all this taken into consideration, here are FIVE priorities for Conte this winter.

Cash in on Moses' hot-streak

Victor Moses v Hull City

The form of Victor Moses is an inspiration to any player whose career has meandered.

Moses has been utilised as a right-wing back in Antonio Conte's famous 3-5-2 system, but the Nigerian winger continues to defy the odds with great showings and goals. However, how long can this form last?

Conte should be considering selling Moses this January with the wide-man unlikely to both remain consistent at this level and inspire the Blues to reach the next level.

Sign a right-back

With Branislav Ivanovic expected to depart the club at the end of the season, Antonio Conte should be contemplating a move for a right wing-back capable of adapting to his system.

The Italian demands his wide defenders to defend when the Blues aren't in possession yet attack and leave three in defence when they have the ball.

Not every right-back is capable of playing in such a demanding role, but Conte should start planning for the future by securing someone this January.

Sell and replace Fabregas

Since Jose Mourinho's departure from Stamford Bridge in December 2015, Cesc Fabregas has found himself frozen out in west London.

Antonio Conte still isn't a big fan of the Spaniard and the Italian must ask the club to find a potential suitor for the playmaker. Both Chelsea and Fabregas are deserving of the move - something that will appease all parties.

Conte must also replace the departing Spaniard (if a club can be found for the playmaker) to ensure his squad isn't left short on numbers.

Sign an inspirational leader

Whether Chelsea fans, Antonio Conte or even John Terry himself are willing to admit it, the club captain's days as professional football are coming to an end.

For Conte to move forward this January, he must identify a potential future club captain to replace the ageing Terry. According to The Telegraph, Leonardo Bonucci has been singled out as the future heartbeat of Conte's defence.

Whether the move materialises or not, someone must be brought in and swiftly.

Either loan or play Batshuayi more

When Chelsea managed to convince Belgium forward Michy Batshuayi to join Conte's Italian job, the Blues faithful became rather excited regarding the prospects of their future starlet.

However, with Conte's new-look system there doesn't seem to be any chance for game time for the former Marseille forward.

This winter, Conte must consider loaning out his young starlet or rotate his squad more frequently to ensure he receives the chance to develop.
