Yesterday was a big day for Jorginho.

Chelsea's 27-year-old midfielder celebrated his first anniversary as a Blue, having signed for for the club in July 2018.

Since then, the deep-lying midfield maestro has played a total of 54 games in all competitions, scoring twice along the way, though not mustering a single assist.

The Brazilian-born ace quickly took to Instagram to share a snap celebrating this huge moment in his career, something that should surely ease concerns that he could follow Maurizio Sarri to Juventus.

He simply captioned it "just a year ago", followed by some emojis and a thank you to the club and fans.

But it wasn't always sunshine and rainbows at Stamford Bridge for Jorginho. At times, the 27-year-old has been a big target for criticism from the fans, who often seemed to direct their Sarri-ball anger at the manager's favourite midfielder.

With the player clearly keen to continue making an impact and enjoying life at Stamford Bridge though, fans will hope he can develop more under Frank Lampard and prove Sarri was right to sign him in the first place.
