Belgium became the first team to qualify for Euro 2020 following their 9-0 victory against minnows San Marino last Thursday.

It has been plain sailing for Roberto Martinez and co, with them winning all eight fixtures in their group so far, scoring 30 goals and conceding just one. Having secured their place at next year's championships, the boss was able to field some of his fringe players against Kazakhstan, whom the Red Devils beat 2-0 on Sunday.

Who has been the most improved player in the EPL this season? Find out in the video below...

Michy Batshuayi was one of those to benefit from the former Everton boss' rotation as he started the match. However, although he was able to open the scoring for his nation, it was far from a convincing performance from the 26-year-old.

The former Marseille man's overall play was disappointing, to say the least. He managed to land just 64% of his passes, with only three players involved throughout the match registering a worse ratio, including those who appeared from the substitutes bench.

That stat only touches the surface of the striker's inefficiency. He won just three of the 11 ground duels he contested, and he also failed to complete a single dribble. On top of that, he had just two shots during the game, one of which was the goal and overall, he lost possession 16 times, with only five players doing so on more occasions.

Batshuayi has had to make do with a back-up role at Chelsea, seeing just 134 minutes of action thus far this campaign in all competitions. Of course, that has been down to Tammy Abraham's incredible form as well - the 21-year-old having scored nine in the first 11 matches of the season.

Still, with the English youngster only playing from the bench against the Czech Republic for England on Friday, it was the perfect opportunity for the £22.5m-valued Batshuayi to fill his boots and put the pressure on his striking rival.

However, his overall performance will have done nothing to worry the Blues' number nine and in truth, Batshuayi's goal only really paved over cracks.

On what was the perfect opportunity to show Frank Lampard what he can do from the start, Batshuayi failed to make a real impression.
