Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi took to Instagram on Monday to share his love for Olympique de Marseille, after his former side beat rivals Lyon in the Choc des Olympiques.

The clash between the two major French sides with Olympique in their names took place at Marseille's Stade Velodrome on Sunday, and saw the hosts emerge victorious after Dimitri Payet fired a brace before Moussa Dembele pulled one back in the 59th minute.

And going by his recent Instagram stories post, Batshuayi was in the stands to watch Les Phoceens climb up to second in the Ligue 1 standings going into the international break.

Batshuayi spent two years at Marseille before joining Chelsea in 2016 for £33million, having struck the back of the net 33 times in 78 games for the one-time Champions League winners.

Things have not been as rosy for the Belgian in West London, making 64 outings across all competitions and playing just 63 minutes in the Premier League this season.

The 26-year-old earned 17 of his top-flight minutes for the campaign in Saturday's 2-0 win at home to Crystal Palace, before jetting over to France where he still has an allegiance to his former side.
