Chelsea’s predicted XI to face Tottenham at Wembley

Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final clash between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur could be the game that defines both clubs’ seasons.

The London duo currently sit in first and second position in the Premier League, with only five games remaining before the season comes to a close. Until a few weeks ago, the title race looked to be all but over as Chelsea were looking uncatchable at the peak of the table.

However, after two defeats in their last four, ¬†the title race has been blown¬†wide open again, especially given Spurs’ unstoppable form at the moment.

Maurice Pochettino’s side have won their last seven Premier League fixtures, and have been finding the net for fun, with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in the form of their careers so far. The Lilywhites have scored an astonishing 28 goals in their last eight fixtures in all competitions, averaging 3.5 goals per game.

While Saturday’s fixture will have no impact on the Premier League standings, it is being billed as a potential title decider. A win for the Blues would point them back in the right direction and with a fairly comfortable run-in, could project them towards the title.

A win for Spurs, and Chelsea will almost certainly be on the back foot. Antonio Conte will know the importance of this weekend’s game and will want to be putting forward a strong side to ensure a victory at Wembley.
