Saturday's FA Cup semi-final clash between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur could be the game that defines both clubs' seasons.

The London duo currently sit in first and second position in the Premier League, with only five games remaining before the season comes to a close. Until a few weeks ago, the title race looked to be all but over as Chelsea were looking uncatchable at the peak of the table.

However, after two defeats in their last four,  the title race has been blown wide open again, especially given Spurs' unstoppable form at the moment.

Maurice Pochettino's side have won their last seven Premier League fixtures, and have been finding the net for fun, with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in the form of their careers so far. The Lilywhites have scored an astonishing 28 goals in their last eight fixtures in all competitions, averaging 3.5 goals per game.

While Saturday's fixture will have no impact on the Premier League standings, it is being billed as a potential title decider. A win for the Blues would point them back in the right direction and with a fairly comfortable run-in, could project them towards the title.

A win for Spurs, and Chelsea will almost certainly be on the back foot. Antonio Conte will know the importance of this weekend's game and will want to be putting forward a strong side to ensure a victory at Wembley.

Here is the Italian's probable starting XI for Saturday's crunch game ...

GK - Asmir Begovic

There would be no doubt that if Belgian and first choice keeper Thibaut Courtois was fit, he would be starting between the sticks for the Blues. However, having picked up an injury which caused him the miss the clash last weekend against Manchester United, it is time for secondary stopper Asmir Begovic to step-up.

The Bosnian has failed to impress since his move to the Bridge in the summer of 2015, but a chance to shine on the big stage could be an opportunity for him to show his worth.

RWB - Victor Moses

Chelsea missed Victor Moses over the past month or so. Who would have thought that at the start of the season the struggling Nigerian would turn out to be one of the Blues' most important players under Antonio Conte.

The Nigeria international has relished his new role at Stamford Bridge, and has been an ever-present force for the Blues all year.

CB - Cesar Azpilicueta

It was clear to see in the loss at Old Trafford last weekend that Cesar Azpilicueta was not comfortable playing as a wing-back. Often touted for his versatility, the Spaniard appears to have become so accustomed to playing in the centre of a back-three, he has lost his know-how on the touchline.

Expect him too be moved back in the middle this weekend.

Poor at the weekend, but other than that has had an exceptional season when many thought he wouldn't. Luiz has been a key man for Antonio Conte this season, and has developed into a rock solid centre-half under the Italian.

Still offers plenty going forward too and has a lot less Chelsea fans holding their breath every time he gets the ball these days.

CB - Gary Cahill

Kurt Zouma's return to the first team has been somewhat underwhelming, and with Chelsea now not having kept a clean sheet in their last ten games, it is time to revert back to basics. And by basics I mean the back three that looked so solid at the beginning of the season. Gary Cahill makes up the back three in the Frenchman's place.

Reverting to a back four is simply not an option, and hence Antonio Conte will have to look to elsewhere as he tries to replace the injured Marcos Alonso.

Youngster Ola Aina has had a taste of first team football this season, and has impressed the few times he has been called upon. Saturday could be his time to shine.

CM - N'Golo Kante

If the little Frenchman doesn't win PFA Player of the Year, then there is something seriously wrong in the world of football. Kante has been the driving force behind Chelsea's success so far this season just as he was at Leicester this season and his contribution in the middle of the park simply cannot be ignored. He'll give Dele Alli no time to work his magic.

CM - Cesc Fabregas

In the most recent fixture between the two clubs, Tottenham came out victorious thanks to two headed goals from the excellent Dele Alli. Much was made of the exclusion of Fabregas that day and inclusion of the more defensively minded Nemanja Matic. The Blues lacked the creativity to damage Spurs, so the Spaniard will more than likely be called upon this time to do what he didn't have the chance to back in January.

RW - Eden Hazard

Hazard is the first name on the team sheet besides N'Golo Kante. Despite being marked out of the game by Ander Herrera last weekend, the Belgian has been at his very best again this season. Spurs are likely to employ a similar tactic by having him man-marked given it's effectiveness for United, but if the former Lille man can stretch Spurs out-wide, he will cause them all sorts of problems.

ST - Michy Batshuayi

Diego Costa has not been good enough recently, and his season has gone from extraordinary to exceedingly average since the turn of the year. For whatever reason Michy Batshuayi has really struggled to get game time under Antonio Conte, but given Costa's poor form, may be handed a start at the weekend. His familiarity with both Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld from his time with the Belgium national team, should also give him an extra edge.

LW - Willian

Willian can count himself as the unluckiest man at Stamford Bridge this season. Undoubtedly the club's player of the season last year, the Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order behind Spaniard Pedro.

However, like Costa, Pedro has struggled as of late so Conte may just shake things up and grant the tricky former Tottenham target a place amongst the starting eleven.
