Chelsea will be hoping to bounce back as soon as possible from their 4-0 humbling at Manchester United in their first game of the Premier League season. Fortunately, they have the perfect chance to do so against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup in Istanbul on Wednesday.

It will be Frank Lampard's second competitive game as manager of the Blues, and he may have a couple of changes to make from Sunday. Here, we predict his starting XI for the match against the Reds.

In goal, Kepa should keep his place from Sunday. The Spain international was not at fault for any of the goals against the Red Devils, and he is the clear number one.

Most of the defence failed to cover themselves in glory in that match, but it should be the same back four again against Liverpool. Cesar Azpilicueta is the club captain and, therefore, is hard to take out of the team, whilst Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen should keep their places as well despite Antonio Rudiger travelling with the squad to Istanbul. At left-back, Marcos Alonso could be in contention, but with Emerson arguably being the Blues' best player against United, he deserves to start once more.

N'Golo Kante would usually be in line to feature from the off, but Lampard revealed in his pre-match press conference that he picked up a small injury on Sunday. As such, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic look set to anchor the midfield.

The changes will most likely come in attack. Ross Barkley disappointed at Old Trafford, with Mason Mount out-performing him. Lampard has suggested the 20-year-old will keep his place in the number 10 role, but Christian Pulisic could replace the former Everton man to make his competitive starting debut. With Willian also still recovering, expect Pedro to play on the opposite wing.

Up front, Tammy Abraham put in a largely ineffective showing in that campaign opener. Due to the gravity of Wednesday's game, Olivier Giroud's experience could be useful. Therefore, it would not be a surprise to see him come into the side at the expense of the 21-year-old.
