Chelsea’s three best Boxing Day goals

It should be an interesting Boxing Day for Chelsea as they welcome a confident Bournemouth to Stamford Bridge in their penultimate fixture of 2016.

The Cherries – much like the hosts themselves – are in a fine run of form, recording wins against Liverpool, Leicester and Stoke in recent weeks. Those results are amongst a mixed bag for Eddie Howe’s side, however, as losses at Burnley and Southampton have disrupted their rise up the table.

Nevertheless, Bournemouth are in an all-time high league position, which in itself is a wonderful achievement.

As for Chelsea, well, what can be said? Eleven Premier League victories in a row sees them dominating the division and leaves them six points clear of closest chasers Liverpool going into Christmas Day.

Another victory on Boxing Day would mean twelve straight wins, a club record for the Blues. December 26 is synonymous with football nowadays, and Chelsea, like many others, have had some good games on this date in the past and scored some cracking goals, too.
