Andreas Christensen impressed in a Chelsea shirt last season when he was given opportunities under former manager Antonio Conte.

However, since Maurizio Sarri has taken over the chances have been few and far between for the Denmark international.

In fact, the 22-year-old has featured in only three matches, two of which were in the Europa League and the other in the EFL Cup.

The defender has made it publicly clear that he is unhappy with the situation and now his father and agent Sten Christensen has claimed that his son will quit Chelsea if he is not playing more regularly by Christmas.

As reported by The Telegraph, the defender's father told Danish television:

"If his situation doesn’t change around Christmas, we’ll obviously schedule a chat with Chelsea and say, ‘okay, what can we do for Andreas? Can we move him?' I’m of the conviction that we’ll attempt to move Andreas in the winter time [if he’s not playing]. Around Christmas, something else needs to happen."

Sarri has preferred the centre-back pairing of Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz so far this season, which indicates that Christensen will have to settle for cup competitions.

At the moment Chelsea are on an unbeaten run and there is no need to make any drastic changes to the team.
