With ten consecutive victories in the Premier League, Chelsea have made the top-spot their own and Antonio Conte’s side are favourites to lift the title come May- which would be their second league success in three years.
After a woeful Premier League title defence last season, Chelsea have responded with a vengeance this term, despite a slow start, and their response to a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in September has been remarkable.
Whilst it’s the ten-game winning run that will make headlines, one stat identifies just how far Chelsea have come under the guidance of Conte and it deserves to be pointed out.

Remarkably, in mid-December, Chelsea have already won more Premier League matches this season than they did in the entirety of the last campaign. Winning 13 of their 16 matches, the Blues are on-course for another season of success in West London.
Conte’s 3-4-3 formation has proved to be a revelation and it currently looks like nothing can stop this Chelsea side, so expect further records to be made.
