Thibaut Courtois sealed his dream move on Thursday as the Chelsea goalkeeper finalised a transfer to Real Madrid.

The Belgium international has been heavily linked to the Spanish giants for some time, and on deadline day he ended a seven-year association with Chelsea.

It became clear that Courtois was going to move on when he failed to report back for training following his extended holiday after reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup in Russia.

The shot-stopper edged even closer to the exit door when new manager Maurizio Sarri sealed the signature of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao in a world-record deal.

The manner of Courtois's move to the Bernabeu upset a large number of Chelsea fans, but he made the relationship even more sour when asked about Eden Hazard.

During his unveiling, the Belgian admitted to reporters that he would "love" for the playmaker to join him at the Bernabeu.

“He’s a wonderful player. I’d love to play alongside him again and we’ll have to see what happens in the future. If he ends up here one day, that would be brilliant.”

Hazard is Chelsea's best player and to lose him in the future would be a massive blow.

Unsurprisingly, plenty of fans were far from happy with Courtois's comment.
