Diego Costa is Chelsea’s most improved player under Conte

Time and again Diego Costa has bailed Chelsea out this season when it looked like they were heading for a draw.

His goal away to Crystal Palace on Saturday was his second winning goal in a 1-0 victory in as many weeks, coming after his vital contribution against West Brom. He’s the in-form man that has inspired them to an incredible 11 Premier League wins in a row.

It’s most definitely title-winning form and the Blues are now streaking ahead at the top of the table.

The difference between his season under Antonio Conte and the last campaign is stark and this stat from @Squawka shows just how big an impact the new Chelsea boss has made on Costa.

Incredibly the striker has already passed his Premier League total for the club last year and we’re only in December. Scoring just 12 goals across the entire campaign last season, the goal against Palace was his 13th Premier League goal this year.

If he can continue this form then we’re not sure anyone can stop Chelsea marching towards title glory in May.
