Chelsea legend Didier Drogba celebrated his 40th birthday on Sunday.
The forward, who won four Premier League titles and a Champions League during his time at Stamford Bridge – which spanned two spells -, is still in football as player-owner of Phoenix Rising in Arizona, which is a testament to his competitive spirit.
That spirit is just one of the things that made him such a popular figure during his time at Stamford Bridge and it is clear that he is still in the affections of the Blues fans.
Chelsea’s official Twitter account posted a birthday message for Drogba and the fact that there were no shortage of fans wanting to get in touch with Drogba shows the affection with which he is still viewed at Stamford Bridge.
The striker – who earned 104 caps for Ivory Coast – still has plenty of goodwill from the Blues fans and we’ve had a closer look at some of the best reaction…
