EURO 2016 star holding out for Chelsea move amid Everton & Serie A interest

Belgium international Axel Witsel is holding out for a move to Chelsea this summer amid interest from the likes of Everton, Juventus and Inter Milan, according to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Zenit St. Petersburg ace featured for his nation as they reached the quarter-finals at EURO 2016 earlier this summer and has been subsequently linked with a host of big money moves.

Indeed, Everton have been aligned with an ambitious swoop for the 27-year-old as they look to kick off their Ronald Koeman era, but reports claim that despite interest from the Toffees, as well as Juventus and Inter, Witsel is not committing a transfer yet as he waits for Chelsea to make their move.

The Blues have been linked with the former Benfica man, but having since signed N’Golo Kante from Leicester it remains to be seen if Antonio Conte will add further to his midfield ranks.

Witsel, who has been capped 71 times by Belgium, has won league titles in his homeland and Russia.
