Euro giants’ boss has no interest in shock move for Chelsea star

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has informed the club’s hierarchy that he has no interest in pursuing a stunning loan move for Chelsea’s Pedro, according to reports from Sport.

The Spanish forward only moved from the Catalan giants to the west of London over the summer after falling out of favour at the Nou Camp, but he has struggled in the blue shirt.

With Barca having since been left short of cover for attacking triumvirate Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, Enrique’s side have been aligned with a January move after their global transfer ban ended, yet reports claim that he has no interest in Pedro, and instead wants Nolito of Celta Vigo.

It’s understood that club chiefs have floated the idea of a temporary move to lure the 28-year-old back to La Liga, but the reigning European champions’ manager has made it clear that he prefers Nolito.

Pedro has netted three goals in a disappointing Chelsea season that has seen Jose Mourinho sacked and Guus Hiddink drafted in as temporary cover in the dugout.
