Euro heavyweights’ big decision could lead to £95.7m Chelsea raid

Real Madrid could mount a 2016 move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.

The La Liga juggernauts sacked Rafa Benitez on Monday and replaced him with club legend Zinedine Zidane, despite a relatively solid start to the season under the Spaniard.

Although ‘Zizou’ is only at the helm on an interim basis, should he impress there is every chance he could take the position permanently, and reports claim that he wants Hazard in the white shirt.

It’s understood that Zidane is a massive fan of the Belgian – whose market value is said to be £95.7m – and sees him as the perfect player to slot into an already talented first-team squad at the Bernabeu.

Hazard himself is thought to be considering his future at Chelsea following a poor start to 2015/16, both for him individually and the team as a whole, and with the Blues staring at the possibility of missing out on Champions League qualification, financial repercussions could force a sale.
