Ex-England boss credits Chelsea chief for Hazard improvement

Former England manager Fabio Capello has praised Jose Mourinho for his impact on Eden Hazard since taking over as Chelsea boss.

‘The Special One’ re-joined the West Londoners over the summer, and immediately made the tricky Belgian a key member of his first-team.

Hazard had impressed since joining the Blues from Lille, but doubts surrounding his consistency had surfaced.

However, Mourinho has made him the focal point of his starting XI, which has yielded impressive results in recent weeks as Chelsea have upped their title pursuit.

Capello’s Russian side are set to face Belgium in the World Cup, and the Italian praised Mourinho’s influence on Hazard – who is set to feature heavily in his nation’s side during the competition:

“Hazard is the revelation of the European season.” He is quoted by The Metro.

“I have seen him mature, become convinced of his abilities. He is both entertaining and effective. Mourinho can be proud of his work. I say this because his fingerprints are all over this, for sure.”

Hazard has put himself alongside the likes of Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero as one of English football’s finest talents after netting 14 goals In 36 outings this season.
