First Oscar, then Terry… now Fabregas set for China!

As reported by The Daily Mail, Cesc Fabregas could be the latest Chelsea player on his way to China in 2017 with Guangzhou Evergrade interested in bringing him to Asia.

Another one?

This week, we’ve already discussed apparent moves for both Oscar and John Terry to the Chinese Super League next year. Now, incredibly, another Chinese club is after more Chelsea talent.

After Andre Villas-Boas’ move for Oscar, The Mail reports that another former Stamford Bridge boss is returning to the club to poach some of their top talent.

Luiz Felipe Scolari is boss of Guangzhou Evergrade and after missing out on Oscar now wants to bring Cesc Fabregas to the club.

The Mail reckon that any deal could be worth up to £40m for Chelsea.

Should they sell?

At this rate you’d be better off relocating Stamford Bridge to China given the amount of talent moving to the Chinese Super League.

£40m is a massive amount of money for a player who hasn’t been a first team regular under Antonio Conte and we’re sure Chelsea could redirect those funds into new first team talent.

The Spanish international has started just three Premier League games this season.

Fabregas is not to be underestimated though and proved that with a vital goal on Wednesday night to give Chelsea a 1-0 win away to Sunderland.

If he can now go on to win a regular place in Conte’s team, any move to China would look less likely. Fabregas is still a player who can make a massive impact at the top level.
