Five EURO 2016 Group B stars that Chelsea should look to sign this summer

EURO 2016’s Group B is certainly an exciting one. England will be facing Russia, Wales and Slovakia to fight for a place in the last 16 of the tournament.

There is plenty on talent on show, with each of these teams qualifying with ease from their respective preliminary groups.

There will be plenty of quality on show throughout the summer, most noticeably the likes of Thomas Muller, Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but Group B is perhaps the most exciting.

The home nation derby between England and Wales is on June 16that 2:00pm and looks to be one of the most exciting clashes in EURO final history.

Just one Chelsea man made the England squad after the Blues’ diabolical season where they ended their title defence in 10th position. Chelsea fans will hope that England can perform in order to give them a bit of satisfaction after a dreadful year.

If Antonio Conte keeps his eyes pealed, then there is plenty of talent in Group B for Chelsea to sign…

John Stones

Stones

To start off, of course, it’s John Stones. Chelsea failed with numerous bids for the centre back at the beginning of the season and Everton kept their man. The young defender has the potential to become the next John Terry, although at this moment in time, he is nowhere near that standard based on Everton’s appalling defensive record. He would be a great signing for the future and Chelsea fans will be hoping that Gary Cahill can persuade him to the Bridge.

Marek Hamsik

slovakia

Chelsea lacked a creative attacking midfielder last season. Eden Hazard went missing, while nobody knows what happened to Oscar, but Hamsik is a very reliable player. He offers tons of goals and assists and is a very skilful on the ball, Chelsea would ave had a much better season with the Slovakian in their ranks last year. Hamsik would fit perfectly into a 4-2-3-1 formation as one of the attacking three but it is for Conte to decide whether the 28 year old is worth the money.

Aleksandr Kokorin

Aleksandar Kokorin

The 25 year old may be relatively unheard of as of yet but he has lots of quality in his locker. The Russian forward is clinical going forward and boasts a great scoring record. Diego Costa may be looking for the exit door and Kokorin is a far less controversial character! Cahill will have to watch out for Kokorin’s mazy runs on Saturday night.

Fraser Forster

ForsterCen

WHAT! The Express revealed a month ago that Forster is on Chelsea’s radar just in case Thibaut Courtois decides to leave the Blues this summer. Forster was in astonishing form when he returned from injury for Southampton, most noticeably against Chelsea’s rivals Arsenal, where he made nine saves in a single match. He is an excellent keeper and is unlucky to be kept out of the side by Joe Hart.

Could Chelsea raid Everton? As well as John Stones, Everton have another incredible young English talent in their ranks. Barkley is a strong, powerful midfielder and can play in a variety of positions in the centre of the pitch. He could eventually become the next Frank Lampard and Chelsea, if they were to sign the two Everton starlets, would be able to build for the future around the two incredible players.
