Former Chelsea legend claims veteran shot-stopper on his way to PSG

Daily Star Sunday report that former Chelsea player and manager Ray Wilkins believes Petr Cech’s summer move to Paris Saint-Germain is virtually a done deal.

The 32 year-old Czech has found it difficult to hold down a regular berth in the Chelsea first team this season following the return of Thibaut Courtois from his three-year loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

Speaking to the French media, Wilkins said: “Petr is to join PSG in the summer.”

The long-serving Blues shot-stopper once again found himself on the bench during Chelsea’s 1-0 victory against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Cech will be keen on getting some regular playing time which could see him leave the club he joined in 2004. He has made nearly 500 appearances for the London club, winning multiple Premier League and FA Cup medals and the Champions League in 2012.

As well as French side PSG, Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Liverpool were linked on Saturday with a loan move for the goalkeeper, while Arsenal and Serie a giants Inter Milan are also reportedly interested.
