Former Queens Park Rangers defender Jose Bosingwa has hit back at his former manager Harry Redknapp who slated his work ethic, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Redknapp claimed that the Portuguese international did not try his best in his time at Loftus Road and that he was paid far too much money, as were other players there at the time.
The likes of Christopher Samba and Loic Remy were however bought by Redknapp and he wasn’t adverse to allowing them to earn more than Bosingwa, yet all three of the players have now left QPR.
Bosingwa has stated that Redknapp’s age could be his problem and the fact that he wants to be like Sir Alex Ferguson despite only winning one trophy as a manager.
“How can you do technical analysis of players spending all of the time in the changing room doing deals with business people and rarely on the pitch?” Bosingwa said.
“He’s frustrated. He thinks he’s a bit [like] Alex Ferguson, but there’s a difference: in all his long career he’s only won one trophy.
“He doesn’t seem to know what he’s saying. He’s a bit confused. It could be age.”
