The international break couldn’t have come at a worse time for Chelsea. Antonio Conte’s Blues are flying at the moment in terms of results, with the Italian’s move to 3-4-3 system having yielded five Premier League wins on the spin, with no goals conceded in the process. Their most recent game, a 5-0 hammering of Everton, was, arguably, their peak showing, too.

In short, the coming week and a bit will feel like an eternity for Blues supporters, with international football replacing the cut and thrust of domestic club action. Who doesn’t love meaningless friendlies and World Cup qualification dead-rubbers, after all?

Well, rejoice Chelsea fans, as there is actually a football pastime for you to partake in over the next week in the shape of observing some transfer targets. Indeed, the west Londoners have been aligned with countless international stars in recent months, and here are FOUR that will be in action…

Yannick Carrasco

Linked with Chelsea of late (Sport are one of a host of outlets to run a report on the subject), Carrasco will be action for Roberto Martinez’s Belgium against the Netherlands and Estonia in friendly and World Cup qualification action respectively, and although there’s no guarantee of him starting the games, Blues fans should be keeping an eye out for him.

The Atletico Madrid ace his really kicked on over the course of the past 18 months and could be an interesting proposition alongside his compatriot Eden Hazard either side of Diego Costa.

On the back of his heroic performances for Burnley in the top tier, Keane has been drafted into the England squad for a second time and should get his debut against Spain in friendly action. Chelsea are (according to the Daily Mail) believed to be looking at the Clarets star as they plan for life after John Terry, and he will be in plain view for supporters should Gareth Southgate put his trust in him.

Leonardo Bonucci

It’s been a while since reports from the Telegraph claimed that Roman Abramovich was ready to fund a world-record (for a defender, anyway) move for the Italy international, but it’s unlikely that Conte’s interest in the man he coached at Juventus has died away.

Arguably the best centre-back on the planet and well-versed in playing in a three-man backline, the 29-year-old would be a dream-come-true addition for Chelsea, so fans may want to keep a look out for the Azzurri’s friendly against Germany and World Cup qualifier vs. Lichtenstein.

Tentative links between Chelsea and Kolasinac have emerged (via Bild) of late, with the Schalke left-back attracting attention as he hurtles towards free-agent status next summer. The Bosnian has been named in his nation’s squad for their World Cup qualifier against Greece, where he will be playing alongside Blues stopper Asmir Begovic.
