Frank Lampard says he has no intention of hanging up his boots and would love to emulate Ryan Giggs at Manchester United.
Lampard became the club’s all time leading goalscorer as his brace against Aston Villa took him to 203 goals, but there is a chance he will not be at Stamford Bridge next season.
It is has been well documented that the midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season but, as things stand, he has not been offered a new one and could leave on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old has no intention of hanging up his boots and believes he can go as long as Giggs at Old Trafford.
“I’d love to carry on as long as I feel I can do and I feel I’m fit,” Lampard said. “I’d love to do that, for another three or four years. I’d love to emulate those boys.
“Ryan Giggs (has) got an aura around him. All the players at the club look up to him. He’s the mark.”
There is a chance he could link up with Giggs as reports have claimed United are keen if Chelsea let him leave.
