Monaco have moved to rubbish reports Falcao could be set for a January exit from the French club, reports talkSPORT.
Sporting director Vadim Vasilyev has moved to end speculation regarding the Colombian’s future – barely months after signing from Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for the forward during the summer, however Falcao opted to make the move to the mega-rich Ligue 1 side.
Since then he has been involved in a bizarre rumour that stated he was older than originally thought, and then further talk suggesting he has a clause in his contract that would allow the striker to leave Monaco after just one year.
He has begun life in France well, scoring four goals in five league matches, however that has not stopped speculation suggesting he is looking for an early exit.
Real Madrid have also been strongly linked with the forward, and some are suggesting his move to Monaco was simply a ploy to avoid the forward moving directly from hated rivals Atletico.
Chelsea remain interested and are monitoring the situation closely, especially considering the West London clubs poor start to the season in which none of their forwards have found the net in the Premier League.
Vasilyev told L’Equipe: “There is no clause in Falcao’s contract that might allow him to leave after a year.”
