According to reports from Italy, Fulham have enquired about taking Chelsea’s Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan.
After a generally torrid time at Stamford Bridge, the midfielder was sent out on loan to AC Milan to regain his confidence and improve his game, but hasn’t done so by the sounds of it.
The Frenchman has seen limited success with the Rossoneri, starting only twice and coming under fire from boss Gennaro Gattuso – who admitted the former Monaco man is struggling with the tactics. The Italian is reportedly considering terminating the enforcer’s loan and sending him packing, which would leave Fulham in the clear to get their man.
Meanwhile, the Cottagers currently sit rock-bottom of the Premier League having conceded 29 goals in 11 games, and the newly-promoted side are on course to ship 100 this season with a lot of work needed to turn things around.
Reports suggest that Slavisa Jokanovic wants to bring in the 24-year-old for the remainder of the season to offer some protection for the back four.
Here’s how Chelsea fans reacted to the rumours on Twitter.
