Chelsea have been given a big boost ahead of their top-four showdown with Tottenham after Eden Hazard was passed fit for the game.
The Belgian playmaker picked up the problem during the Europa League semi-final, second-leg against Basel and was forced to sit out the 1-0 win over Manchester United as a result.
Having been rested for the clash at Old Trafford, Hazard is expected to return to the starting XI for the crunch game with Tottenham on Wednesday after Benitez gave him the green light.
“Hazard was training in a normal training session. He is fine, he is in the squad,’ Benitez said.
While Hazard’s return was expected, a surprise comeback could be that of Oriol Romeu after he stepped up his recovery from his cruciate knee ligament injury.
The Blues will have to do without Mikel as he struggles with a hip problem, while Ryan Bertrand is also unavailable because of a knee injury.
