Several clubs have been linked with the signing of Eden Hazard throughout the course of the season, but in my view he should put his country first and choose Chelsea.

Obviously as a Chelsea fan I want Hazard to move to Stamford Bridge, but with a plethora of options available to the playmaker he certainly has a big decision to make.

The choice is very much in Hazard's court, however if he thought about Belgium he would see Chelsea as his only choice. In a few years time, Hazard could be the front three in an all Belgian attack with De Bruyne and Lukaku at Stamford Bridge winning all sorts of trophies together and possibly increase Belgium's chances in International tournaments.

The lure of mega money from Manchester City may be too much for Hazard and with City on the course of global domination, signing for them seems inevitable. Tottenham were thought to be front runners because of their attacking football but if Redknapp goes to England as expected, their new manager might not fancy Hazard. Arsenal were also contenders for the signature, and Hazard has spoken of his admiration of Arsene Wenger and his team, but can they match other wage and transfer offers?

This isn't a plea from a Chelsea fan for Hazard to join our club, it's a gentle reminder for him to put his country first. Most English players today are criticised for putting their clubs first, so who could blame Hazard for thinking about his country.
