Hiddink backs Chelsea legend for managerial role amid MLS links

Interim Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has backed John Terry to move into the club’s management position, according to The Sun.

The 35-year old seems to set to call an end on his illustrious Stamford Bridge career this season upon the expiration of his deal.

‘Not in one or two years but of course. If he gets the experience’, stated the vastly experienced Dutch coach.

Still, Hiddink has urged his skipper to continue his playing career for as long as he possibly can.

He has been linked with a money spinning move to China, while a number of his ex-England teammates have enjoyed the autumn of their careers in moves to the MLS.

Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard are all currently playing stateside.

“First of all, if you love the game — and he does — play as long as possible.’

‘Being a manager is OK but it’s a substitute for being a player.’

‘Playing is the most beautiful thing you can experience if you love the game.’
