Chelsea manager ‘blanked me’ claims exciled star

Former Chelsea star Kevin de Bruyne has revealed how Jose Mourinho ‘blanked’ him during his days at Stamford Bridge, according to Goal.com.

De Bruyne has been in incredible form for Wolfsburg this season, with eight goals and 12 assists to his name in the Bundesliga already this season.

The Belgian winger says he regrets joining the Premier League club and that manager Jose Mourinho never told him why he wasn’t given a chance and deemed surplus to requirements so quickly. The Wolfsburg forward who has been recently joined by fellow Chelsea reject Andre Schurrle, added:

“Maybe things would have been different if Chelsea had paid €45m for me, rather than €8m. A higher transfer fee maybe would have afforded me greater consideration”.

Things a very different at Wolfsburg, however, with de Bruyne saying he finally feels at the home with the Bundesliga side. The Belgian midfielder is really enjoying his football in Germany, which comes as no surprise given his form, and de Bruyne is even considering signing a new contract with the Bundesliga team only 12 months after signing for the club.

The Belgian joined Chelsea from Genk in January 2012 for a fee of £5.9m but was sold on to Wolfsburg two years later for £13.2m.
