Revealed: 72% of Chelsea fans still consider Alvaro Morata to have a long-term future at the club

Since his then-club record switch to Chelsea in 2017, costing the Blues around £60 million, Alvaro Morata has failed to live up to his fee in the Premier League.

After a strong start to life in west London, winter came and the goals dried up for the 25-cap Spain international. Since then, the former Real Madrid striker has looked utterly bereft of confidence and has regularly been usurped in the starting XI by Olivier Giroud.

To date, in 62 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, the 26-year-old has managed just 19 goals – an undeniably poor return for a supposedly elite level striker.

However, the forward has been back amongst the goals somewhat in recent weeks which could be the early signs of a revival under the management of Maurizio Sarri. That being said, it’s hard to imagine Morata still has a long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

Yet many Chelsea fans themselves appear to still have faith in the struggling striker, with 72% of those we polled stating that they believe he does have a future with the club. See the full results below.
