HYS: Are Chelsea in better shape now than when Conte took over?

Despite another poor title defence from Chelsea, Antonio Conte has insisted that he has put the club in a better position than the one he found the Stamford Bridge outfit in when he took over.

Conte, fresh from Euro 2016, inherited an underperforming squad from Jose Mourinho – there was a small danger of the Blues getting relegated under the Portuguese before he was sacked to allow Guus Hiddink to take over and guide the club into 10th.

His hardline stance and tactical innovation revolutionised the Blues’ fortunes within such a short space of time but the club is also so chaotic that it’s difficult to truly judge the scope of his progress.

That’s what we’re asking you to judge: has Conte brought Chelsea on in the two seasons since he took over at the Bridge or not?
