Nabil Fekir’s sparkling recent form for Lyon is almost certain to have caught the attentions of many of Europe’s biggest and best club sides. With some of the most powerful clubs around likely coveting the 25-year-old’s signature, whoever manages to prise him away from the Ligue 1 outfit will have to spare no expense to do so.

If Chelsea were to land the France international then they’d likely have to surpass his Transfermarkt valuation of £54 million to bring him to Stamford Bridge. However, if they were able to manage it then they’d have acquired a top class player who would bring some much-needed attacking threat to their midfield, and one who would start ahead of Mateo Kovacic.

With Kovacic only on loan at Stamford Bridge in the first place, the Blues should already be lining up succession plan for the Real Madrid man's departure and Fekir ought to be central to it.

Fekir is a player who suits Maurizio Sarri’s preferred high tempo, attacking style of play. The Frenchman’s inventiveness and quality in front of goal would also help to ease the burden of attacking responsibility that currently rests on Eden Hazard’s shoulders.

What do you think, Blues fans, would you prefer to see your club sign Kovacic on a permanent basis, or get Fekir instead?
