According to La Sexta, Barcelona are planning to resume their summer pursuit of Chelsea’s Willian in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Blues resisted three bids from the La Liga giants in the summer, thought to have been worth up to £55 million, as reported by Sky Sports. However, that does not appear to have put Barcelona off and they could be back with another offer before long.
This time around the Premier League outfit would be wise to accept their advances. At 30 years of age, time is running out for the club to attract a big fee for the Brazilian and, so far, Willian has struggled to make a big impression in terms of goals and assists under the management of Maurizio Sarri.
He has failed to find his best form and with the likes of Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek impressing in more advanced roles, the time for the Brazil international, who has netted 47 goals in 253 appearances for the Blues, to leave Stamford Bridge may finally have come.
What do you think, Chelsea fans – should Willian be allowed to join Barcelona in January?
