As reported by The Express, Chelsea could finally land one of Antonio Conte's top targets in the upcoming January transfer window.

What's the story?

With the Italian failing to add the personnel he wanted in the summer window, the Blues have stagnated this term, failing to build on their impressive title-winning form of last season.

The January window is just a couple of weeks away though and the prospect of spending cash is an exciting one for supporters.

One player that could be on his way to Stamford Bridge is Alex Sandro.

That's according to The Express, who say that Juventus are now ready to do business for the Brazilian international.

The paper say that although Chelsea offers for the player were rebuffed in the summer, the Italian giants are now open to selling the man they rate at £70m, and the Blues still want him.

Worth that kind of cash?

Sandro is a player in his prime who exhibits all the qualities elite teams are looking for in a wing-back. He's an all-rounder who can pass excellently, possesses plenty of pace and strength and also has the ability to deliver a lethal cross.

He has excellent experience that would enhance the Chelsea squad having reached the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League with Juventus and shining in Serie A action too.

Buying such a player in the modern era requires tens of millions of pounds and although the reported £70m price tag is a huge chunk of money, he could transform Chelsea's left flank. Marcos Alonso is a quality option there but at times this season has gone through dips in form.

If he's available, Chelsea simply must make their move.
